About This Wine
Beaujolais, France. Sustainable farming. 100% Gamay.
A masterful 5th-generation grower, Pierre has maintained the traditions of his ancestors and of the region by adhering only to the classic methods handed down from his family. This means farming sustainably, only using indigenous yeasts for every wine, long fermentations, and making whole-cluster (semi-carbonic) wines in the old foudres built by his great-grandfather. The wines are bottled with little or no filtration and the addition of no sulfur or very little depending on the cuvée.
A favorite producer of ours. This is a great entry-level, easy-drinking Beaujolais. The wine is full of texture and complexity highlighted by juicy red fruit notes, and a fresh backbone. Throw a chill on this one!
